Exercise #1005: Self Knowledge
Posted 8/18/23

What made you happy today?

Think about today. What happened? What did you do? Who did you see or talk with? Of all the happenings, which one made you happiest? Why? Why don’t you do that more often?

Now write! You may give us an essay about it or show us a scene.

As always, you may choose to show a character answering this exercise instead.

Critiquers, you might try answering these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Could you relate to this piece? Why or why not?

 Word limit: 1200

             SUB: Exercise #1005/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: Knowing what makes us happy - and what keeps us from doing that more often - can help us with finding happiness. Even performing drudgery tasks can make us happy if we’re in the right frame of mind (or have some friendly help!).
