Exercise #839

Exercise #839: Craft
Posted  2/7/20

While weather can often be part of the setting for your story, sometimes it almost becomes a character of its own. Hemingway’s “A Farewell to Arms” is an excellent example of this.

For today's exercise, show us a scene where two lovers meet. Set it outdoors and include the weather. Then rewrite the scene with different weather. Post both in your SUB.

Critiquers, along with a technical critique, you might also answer the following questions:
     * Does the different weather affect the storyline? If so, how?
     * Did this help you as a writer? Why or why not?

Word limit: 750 per scene, two scenes only
Please use the subject line
       SUB: Exercise #839/yourname
