Exercise #794: Pick Six
Posted 2/8/19

Roll a die three times, to give yourself three random numbers from 1 to 6. Got 'em? Each number will correspond to a section below. The first number will be your choice from the first set of six below, the second result will be your choice for the second set below, etc. Got it? Okay, here we go.

A wild storm is raging and you must seek shelter. The closest place is:
1. a cave.
2. a telephone booth.
3. your bank.
4. your garage.
5. the neighbor’s house.
6. an abandoned car.

When you get inside, you realize you’re not alone. With you is:
1. an ex-lover.
2. your best friend.
3. a guard dog.
4. a herd of wild boar.
5. a government official.
6. your mail carrier.

You quickly look for a weapon but the only thing within reach is:
1. a shovel.
2. an ox.
3. a ten-speed bicycle.
4. a bucket.
5. a dead Christmas tree.
6. a box of pencils.

Got it? Put them all together and tell us a tale. Remember to let us know what your choices were.

Critiquers, along with a technical critique, you might consider using the WildAcres technique. http://www.winebird.com/html/critique.html#HowWildacresTech
