Exercise #693: Craft
Posted  1/6/17

This time a form of writing with a rigid structure has caught one of our members’ attention. Today’s exercise comes from Jeff S.

According to Jeff, a form of very short fiction called “nano fiction” has the strict rules of:
     * There needs to be a scene, at least one character, a conflict and a resolution, and
     * The piece must be exactly 55 words.

I did a Web search and came up with the 55 words thing but nothing more concrete about these little gems.

Give one or two a try for yourself!

Critiquers, look for the author's adherence to the standard format of the piece and the creativity of the words or subject.

Word limit: None, but no more than three nano fiction pieces per SUB
Please use the subject line
       SUB: Exercise #693/yourname
