Exercise #262

Exercise #262: Craft
Posted 5/2/08

Carlisle thinks many of our story writers might be challenged to write limericks or haiku. I agree!

Today’s exercise is to do exactly that. Not sure how to do it? Check out http://www.ahapoetry.com/haiku.htm for haiku or http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/5783 for limericks (or do your own search). Please remember to add a warning note if you wander into something sexual, violent or use questionable words.

Critiquers, look for the author’s adherence to the standard format of the poem, the creativity of the words or subject, and how the poem makes you feel.

Word limit: none, but no more than three poems per SUB
Please use the subject line
    SUB: Exercise #262/yourname
