Exercise #257: Pick Six

Roll a die* three times, to give yourself three random numbers. Got ‘em? Each number will correspond to a section below. The first number will be your choice from the first set of six, the second result will be your choice for the second set, etc. Got it? Okay, here we go.

Your character is in a/an:

1. library
2. hospital
3. lawyer’s office
4. car dealership
5. jail
6. bomb shelter

On the wall hangs:

1. a seascape picture
2. a fox hunt painting
3. a portrait of an elderly gentleman in a suit
4. a mirror
5. a pushbutton call-bell
6. a fire extinguisher

Another character enters the scene. At the same time, your character notices the scent of:

1. rotten eggs
2. fresh-baked cookies
3. fresh air
4. expensive perfume/cologne
5. hot water
6. all-purpose cleanser

You’ve got your story elements, so write!
