Exercise #151: Self Knowledge
Posted 3/17/06

Show-and-tell is a common grade school activity here. The children are supposed to bring an item from home. When it’s their turn, they stand, show the item to the class, and talk about it. They explain what it is, why they chose that item, and why it’s special to them.

If we had a show-and-tell next week, what would you bring?

This self-knowledge exercise should make you look around your home, your work, your life, and pick something important to you to “share” with a group of relative strangers. What you choose, and what you don’t choose, should tell you something about yourself.
