Exercise #111

Exercise #111: Pick Six
Posted 6/10/05

Find a character. Use one from a popular television show, a recent movie, something you've written, or you can even use yourself. Now, roll a die three times. Got your three numbers? The first one is where your character is:

1. in a public bathroom
2. at the airport
3. in the vegetable aisle at the grocery store
4. in the parking lot of a car rental establishment
5. in the lobby of a hotel
6. in the White House

The second number is who your character meets unexpectedly:

1. a homeless person
2. a man in an expensive business suit
3. a lawyer
4. their third-grade teacher
5. a census-taker
6. their housekeeper

They start a conversation, about:

1. an extension for the due date of a loan
2. a salary increase
3. neutering the cat
4. refinancing the house
5. their best friend's fiancee (who's cheating)
6. being pregnant

Now give us the story. Remember to let us know what your choices were.
